Buenos Aires 200km to be broadcast in Europe

The endurance round of the TC2000 championship will be broadcast on European motorsport channel MotorsTV today, featuring stars of the WTCC.

The 200km race around Argentina’s capital city took place on November 7th, and featured a number of international competitors joining the field of Argentinean regulars in a touring car series which features cars from eight manufacturers.

With cars from Honda, Peugeot, Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Volkswagen, Fiat & Renault, the 200km endurance event has begun attracting several international stars in recent years, with former BTCC driver Anthony Reid a previous winner of the event sharing with former GP2 racer José María López, who was set to race in Formula 1 this season with the ill-fated USF1 project.

WTCC champions Yvan Muller and Gabriele Tarquini joined the field in this years event, as well as 1997 and 2000 BTCC champion Alain Menu, Peugeot Le Mans racer Nicolas Minassian and former F1 drivers Stefan Johansson and Norberto Fontana also in the field.

The race will be broadcast on Motors TV UK channel at 21:15 GMT (UK time), and 16:15 CET on Motors TV’s European stations.
