Huff and Menu completes first 2011 test
Chevrolet completed the first test of 2011 with Alain Menu and Rob Huff behind the wheel of the new 1.6 liter Chevrolet Cruze.
“We concentrated our work on what we call the driveability, or better said how to get the engine power and torque on the track keeping the front tyres within their limits,” said Menu.
The duo tested two days at Valencia in Spain to get to know the new characteristics of the new engine.
“It was very important for me to get some decent mileage under my belt, understand better how the new engine works and how to drive it. The balance of the car is different so we looked into different chassis set-up options, as you would normally do during winter testing,” said Huff.
The both drivers completed approximately 1000 kilometers during the test and the team is heading to Barcelona next week for further testing along with other teams of the WTCC.
“I am glad the car reacts well to changes and am now looking forward to some more testing days in Barcelona next week,” said Huff.
