Norbert Michelisz set for a change of car
Norbert Michelisz is set to compete in the 2011 World Touring Car Championship again, but this time not in a SEAT.
The 26-year old Hungarian driver is expected to drive again with the Zengo Motorsport team with Hungarian electronics company Dension as principal backer.
Michelisz picked up the inaugural WTCC rookie challenge trophy in 2010, and also took his first overall victory at the final race of the season in Macau, driving a SEAT León TDI which wasn’t eligible for the independents category last year.
It is believed the team will switch from SEAT to BMW which will put them in the independents fight and will also see them run with the new 1.6 litre turbo-charged World engine from the outset.
The team will therefore run a BMW 320 TC, which is believed to be being prepared for them by RBM (Racing Bart Mampaey) which ran Andy Priaulx & Augusto Farfus in 2010 as a works entry.
