Engstler and Poulsen getting used to turbo BMW

Liqui Team Engstler-drivers Franz Engstler and Kristian Poulsen are getting used to the new turbo BMW after two days of testing in Vallelunga.
“I like the car. It is nice to drive. However it will take some times to get used to it, because it is important to change the driving style compared to the BMW 320si we were racing until last year,” said Engstler.

The BMW 320TC apparently requires a much more aggressive driving style in order to be quick.
“That one [320si] required a very smooth driving while the 320 TC needs a more aggressive style,” said Engstler.

The team suffered from some technical problems during the first day of testing.
“We had a few technical problems on the first day with the power steering. But after we sorted them out everything was working fine,” said Poulsen.

Danish racer Poulsen was pleased with the new character of the turbo engined BMW.
“The car is a lot of fun to drive; with the turbo engine you also have a lot of power. I think is going to be good,” said Poulsen.
