José María López fastest in Cordoba with Fiat

José María López has shown pace from the start after his switch to the Pro Racing Fiat squad, setting the fastest time at Cordoba ahead of 2010 champion Norberto Fontana.

López’s best time in the Fiat Linea of 57.20 seconds put him a fraction ahead of Fontana in the Ford Focus, with Fontana’s new team-mates Juan Manual Silva & Fabian Yannantuoni finishing third and fourth fastest.

The majority of the manufacturer teams were present in Cordoba, whilst Chevrolet & Renault tested seperately at Buenos Aires.

Mariano Werner was fifth fastest in his Toyota Corolla, ahead of team-mate Bernardo Llaver.

The top Honda Civic was that of Leonel Pernía in seventh, just four-tenths of a second slower than his former team-mate López.

Matías Muñoz Marchesi was the top driver at the Peugeot Cobra Team, just outside the top ten in 11th place.
