Llaver wins first qualifying race
Toyota’s Bernardo Llaver has won the first qualifying race of the weekend at General Roca from Matías Munoz Marchesi and Agustín Canapino.
For the 2011 3M Argentinean TC2000 Championship, the qualifying race is now run in two parts.
Toyota Team Argentina’s Bernardo Llaver had started on the front row alongside Peugeot’s Matías Munoz Marchesi, and the two held station throughout the race with Llaver taking the chequered flag 1.117s ahead of Munoz Marchesi.
Chevrolet driver Agustín Canapino finished third, with pole position setter Mariano Altuna finishing in fifth place just behind the independent Sportteam Competición Renault Fluence of Guido Falaschi.
The two qualifying race results will form the grid for this afternoon’s race at General Roca, with the second qualifying race yet to run.
