Base weights set for season premiere

The base weights for the FIA World Touring Car Championship premiere in Brazil this weekend have been set. Topping the list is the BMW 32 0TC with the 1.6 turbo engine alongside the diesel powered SEAT León, both on 1170 kilos.

The BMW 320si with the normally aspirated engine, only used by privateer driver Fabio Fabiani this season, has been given a weight of 1155 kilos, placing it third in the list.

The new Chevrolet Cruze with the 1.6 turbo engine is going to weigh 1150 kilos, just as the Volvo C30 with the 2.0 naturally aspirated engine of Robert Dahlgren.

The old Chevrolet Lacetti, also with the 2.0 naturally aspirated engine, is on the bottom of the list with 1140 kilos.
