Bueno delighted with the Cruze

Cacá Bueno has said he is delighted with the Cruze after finishing sixth in today’s shakedown and official test sessions at his home circuit of Curitiba.

The three-times Brazilian Stock Car champion and last year’s championship runner up had a single run with the Cruze last year at Brands Hatch.

“I am delighted of being again at the wheel of the Cruze, and in front of my home crowd,” said Bueno.

“Of course, this is a circuit I know well and this helps. Today’s sixth best time is a very good start, but this is going to be a tough weekend for me, as I am also
competing in the Brazilian stock-car race and I will be jumping from one car to the other!”

Chevrolet Europe’s regular drivers were more cautious, with Yvan Muller pointing out the changes to the track surface since last year, but first impressions of the new engined Cruze in Brazil being positive.

Alain Menu, who’d finished second in the shakedown switched to focussing on race set-up in the afternoon and was 12th in the final order.
