Huff leads in Free Practice 1
Chevrolet’s Rob Huff was fastest in the wet morning practice session at Curitiba from the SEATs of Tarquini & Monteiro.
Rob Huff set the pace early on in running, but in the damp conditions the best laps were constantly in the 1:33’s, ten seconds down on yesterday’s best lap from ROAL Motorsport driver Tom Coronel.
Behind the two SEATs of Tarquini and Monteiro were the two Chevrolets of Alain Menu and Yvan Muller, with the top independent driver of Michel Nykjaer in sixth before Cacá Bueno in the fourth Chevrolet Cruze.
Kristian Poulsen set the most laps in the session, with the Engstler Motorsport driver also ending up as the best placed BMW in eighth.
Javier Villa got his first laps of the weekend in for Proteam Racing after problems plagued his new BMW 320 TC on Friday, whilst the repaired Lukoil-SUNRED SEAT of Aleksei Dudukalo also took to the circuit, ending up 15th overall.
