Hungaroring to replace Marrakech

Hungaroring is expected to be announced as the replacement for the cancelled race at Marrakech. The new race weekend is expected to be hosted on the same date as originally planned for the African race, on the 5th of June 2011.

Series promotor Marcello Lotti has previously indicated that the replacement round would take place in central Europe.

“We are currently in negotiations with a couple of other racetracks in Central Europe to replace the event on the same date. We should be ready to announce the location of the fourth race meeting of the season in two weeks time,” said Lotti.

The switch to a race in Hungary will be made public shortly according to Motorsport-Total.com.
