Barth hoping to do well with race two pole
Fredy Barth has qualified on pole position, as he had briefly before a penalty at Curitiba, and hopes to do well with the SEAT tomorrow.
“It’s a strange feeling with this qualifying,” said Barth to TouringCarTimes.
“I’m not so happy because to be tenth is not so fun and I had to push to be tenth, but on the other side, I have pole so I have mixed feelings, we’ll have to see how well we do in the race.”
Barth is hoping that the weather will be a little cooler tomorrow as he believes the SEATs will struggle more than the Chevrolets in the hot conditions.
“It will depend on the weather and the temperature. If it stays like this, we will have a lot of understeer. We have this problem that the warmer it gets, the more grip we have on the back wheels.”
“We have big problems with the brakes at the moment, we overheat them quite fast, so I don’t think it will be easy to keep the Chevrolet and other cars behind us.”
