Jeff Allam back as “Driving Standards Advisor”
Former BTCC race winner Jeff Allam is back as “Driving Standards Advisor” in the British Touring Car Championship from the next race at Oulton Park.
“I’m delighted that Jeff has again accepted my offer of this role,” said BTCC Series Director Alan Gow.
Allam last raced a full season in the BTCC 1994 and is for this season going to return as advisor for the Clerk of the Course when investigating incidents during races.
“The amount of very competitive teams and drivers in our championship is fabulous but inevitably can lead to an increased workload, particularly with matters concerning on-track incidents.
“Therefore Jeff’s highly regarded input will not only bring a respected driver’s perspective to the table, but also help us to provide a more efficient decision-making process at the event,” said Gow.
Allam worked as “Driving Standards Advisor” in the BTCC during the mid-late nineties.
