Matías Rossi on pole at Resistencia
Matías Rossi has swept to pole position at the Resistencia circuit in Chaco, Argentina. The Toyota Team Argentina driver lead a Toyota 1-2 with Mariano Werner second.
Rossi outpaced his Toyota team-mate by just 16-thousandths of a second in the final top 10 shootout. Leonel Pernía was third quickest in the Equipo Petrobras Honda Civic, just 0.055 down on Rossi.
The two qualifying race heats tomorrow will not have championship penalties applied, so both Rossi and Werner will lead the grid in both of the sprint races to set each side of the grid for the main feature at 18:00 CET.
Just half a second covered the top ten, which saw the Chevrolet Cruze of Christian Ledesma in fourth, the Renault Fluence of Guillermo Ortelli in fifth, Emiliano Spataro the leading Fiat Linea in sixth and Gabriel Ponce De León the top Ford-YPF Focus in seventh.
