Muller leads first free practice at Brno
Yvan Muller lead a Chevrolet 1-2-3 at the first free practice session at Brno, with Norbert Michelisz fifth and the new 1.6 turbo Volvo in fifth position.
The Chevrolets locked out the top of the time sheets at the Czech circuit, with reigning champion Yvan Muller leading the way with a best lap of 2:11.039 around the 5.4 mile circuit.
Alain Menu was next fastest, 0.146 down with two-times race winner here Rob Huff in third.
Norbert Michelisz was the top of the independents in fourth place, the top placed BMW driver with Volvo Polestar Racing’s new 1.6 litre turbo powering Robert Dahlgren to fifth, 1.2s down on Muller’s best time.
Michel Nykjaer was fastest of the SUNRED drivers in seventh, just ahead of team-mate Gabriele Tarquini.
