Michelisz excluded from qualifying, sent to the back

Norbert Michelisz was found to be underweight after qualifying and had his times deleted from qualifying. The Hungarian driver will start from the back of the grid for both races at Brno.

Michelisz had qualified in fifth position for both of today’s races, but as a result of being found seven kilograms underweight, with the new BMW weight for this weekend set at 1,213kg, Michelisz’s times have been excluded and he will start from 19th place.

The result is a bonus for Danish driver Michel Nykjaer, who is now classified in 10th for Q1 and will start on pole position for race two.
