RML appoint Lendrum as new Managing Director
RML, the team that run the works Chevrolet teams in both the British and World Touring Car Championships, has announced that George Lendrum will be joining RML Group Ltd. as Managing Director.
Lendrum has a 20-year career in the motorsport industry, having worked for Pi Research as Divisional Managing Director, during the period where it was purchased by Ford, and then rebranded as Cosworth Electronics after being sold to Gerald Forsyth and Kevin Kalkhoven in 2004.
“The opportunity to join RML and contribute to the development of the business was far
too exciting for me to ignore”, said Lendrum.
“I have always regarded RML very highly as anorganisation, and my reaction to being shown the facility and offered the position was simply one of delight and anticipation. The consistent, winning performances of RML in a variety of motorsport categories speak for themselves, and what’s clear is that the quality of the staff and their dedication to the business is central to that success.”
The previous holder of the post of Managing Director at RML was Willem Toet, whom had joined the team in May 2010 from Sauber.
