Robert Dahlgren quickest in morning warm-up

Polestar Racing’s Robert Dahlgren set the best time in the morning warm-up at a dry Donington Park, leading the SUNRED of Gabriele Tarquini and Wiechers-Sport’s Colin Turkington, with the best Chevrolet in fourth.

The Volvo led the way for the last half of the session, pulling out an even quicker lap on his final run at the end of the session to go four-tenths of a second quicker than Gabriele Tarquini.

Tarquini’s run was also impressive as the SUNRED driver didn’t get a lot of track time, only setting one flying lap at the end of the session.

Colin Turkington was third fastest and the best placed independent driver, ahead of the three Chevrolets of Yvan Muller, Rob Huff and Alain Menu.

The first race of the day takes place at 12:05 BST.
