Alberto Cerqui gets first test with the BMW 320 TC

ROAL Motorsport’s Italian Superstars Series driver got his hands on the team’s World Touring Car challenger for the first time as the 19-year-old joined Tom Coronel at the team’s shakedown test at Franciacorta.

The young driver from Brescia, who currently sits second in the International Superstars Series standings in his debut year, was impressed with the performance of the S2000 spec BMW 320 TC which differed greatly from his V8 engined M3 used in Superstars.

“The agility in direction changes on kerbs is remarkable,” said Cerqui. “As the speed through corners while the braking intensity is impressive. The 1.6 turbo engine has a peculiar way of giving the power that requires a bit of tweaking in driving style.”
