Rob Huff quickest in wet warm-up
World Touring Car Championship leader Rob Huff was fastest ahead of his team-mate Yvan Muller in a wet warm-up session at Oschersleben. The Briton starts third on the grid in the first race today.
The rain played havoc with the BMWs, struggling to stay on the track in the slippery conditions, with Norbert Michelisz, Franz Engstler and Stefano D’Aste all going off at the Hasseröder turn.
The top position swapped between Huff and Muller, and then back to Huff with the best times in the low 1:49s, 16 seconds off of yesterday’s qualifying pace.
Robert Dahlgren was third fastest in the Volvo with Alain Menu fourth for Chevrolet.
Gabriele Tarquini was the best placed SUNRED driver in fifth with Stefano D’Aste the quickest independent and BMW driver in sixth.
The first race starts at 11:20 CET.
