Hiroki Yoshimoto to race for SUNRED in Japan

Former GP2 driver Hiroki Yoshimoto is going to take part in the Japanese FIA World Touring Car Championship races for SUNRED Engineering.
“I am glad to be able to compete in the WTCC. The season is really strong and I am looking forward to race at Suzuka,” said Yoshimoto.

Yoshimoto has mainly raced in single seaters, GP2 and Formula 3, and GT, most recently in the Japanese Super GT series.

The 31-year-old is going to join regular SUNRED drivers Gabriele Tarquini, Aleksei Dudukalo, Michel Nykjaer, Tiago Monteiro, Fredy Barth and Pepe Oriola.

The Japanese race has been moved from Okayama to Suzuka for this season and the WTCC cars will race on the 2 248 meter east circuit.
