Five drivers hit with 30 second penalties

Five of the independent drivers have been served with 30 second penalties added to their race one finishing times after exceeding the rolling start speed limit of 90km/h.

Fredy Barth, Pepe Oriola, Norbert Michelisz, Javier Villa and Aleksei Dudukalo were all judged to have exceeded the 90km/h maximum speed requirement at the rolling start in race one.

Zengo Motorsport driver Norbert Michelisz was the best placed of those penalised, originally finishing in tenth but is now classified in 15th. Proteam Racing’s Javier Villa was initially 12th and was dropped to 16th.

Aleksei Dudukalo was the last car on the lead lap, Oriola was classified five laps down and Fredy Barth had retired and so the penalties have no impact on any of the three SUNRED Engineering drivers finishing positions.

The revised results means three less points for Norbert Michelisz in the independents’ trophy, who remains in second place, 11 points down on Kristian Poulsen and four points ahead of Michel Nykjaer, whilst Villa slips one place to be one point behind Franz Engstler in fifth.
