Canadian driver Gary Kwok at Wiechers for Macau

Canadian driver Gary Kwok is going to drive for Wiechers-Sport in the FIA World Touring Car Championship finale at Macau.
“I am very happy, WTCC is an internationally known and highly regarded championship and Wiechers-Sport is an experienced and successful team. For me it is indeed a dream come true,” said Kwok.

Kwok is going to drive the team’s BMW 320 TC and while the Canadian has raced at Macau before, he has never driven the BMW.
“As this is my first race in the championship and with the BMW, it is not going to be easy. It is a big challenge, but I love challenges,” said Kwok.

The Canadian is going to drive the BMW that Colin Turkington drove at Suzuka and Shanghai.
“I am delighted that we can welcome Gary to our team. We are going to provide him with a perfect car in Macau. He will not get it easy as a newcomer in this hard-fought championship, but he will get all support from us so that he can settle in quickly,” said Team Manager Dominik Greiner.

Kwok took part in the 2011 Canadian Touring Car Championship, finishing fifth in the Touring Class in a Honda Civic.
