Tom Coronel fined for going the wrong way

Dutch driver Tom Coronel was fined 2,000 € by the officials after reversing his ROAL Motorsport BMW back at the R bend and into the pit lane at the end of Free Practice 1.

Coronel slid wide in the wet conditions on what would have been his final timed run and into the barrier as the chequered flag fell. Coronel then reversed the BMW 320 TC back past the corner under waved yellows and into the pit lane with front-end damage to the car.

For reversing the wrong way on the track, the officials have fined the 39-year-old 2,000 €.
