Fredy Barth discharged from hospital
Swiss-driver Fredy Barth has been discharged from hospital after being kept in for observation after a heavy crash in free practice on Friday.
The 31-year-old SUNRED driver was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after being knocked unconscious and remained in his car as it overheated and caught fire at Faraway Hill.
The medical team also diagnosed Barth with concussion and back contusion and ruled him unfit to race, with the car too badly damaged to be repaired in any case.
Barth has now been discharged from hospital this morning.
