Chevrolet completes first test of 2012
Chevrolet has completed the first test of the year at Valencia in Spain with Alain Menu behind the wheel.
“I haven’t been driving a race car since Macau and is definitely very nice to be behind the wheel again! We were lucky to enjoy very good weather in Valencia and this allowed to take the maximum out of these two days,” said Menu.
The test of the Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T was focused around the chassis and engine.
“We achieved quite some mileage and performed the entire program as foreseen. Basically, we tested a number of small evolutions, related to both the chassis and the engine, and everything went well,” said Menu.
The team is gong to continue their test schedule at Valencia in February with two cars for Yvan Muller and Rob Huff in order to set the final specifications of the 2012 Cruze.
“The data collected in Spain will be very helpful in our work towards signing off the 2012 specs of the Cruze,” said RML Project Manager Ron Hartvelt.
