“Caca” Bueno claims Super TC 2000 season opener pole

Carlos “Caca” Bueno claimed pole position for the first race of the Super TC 2000 season at Alta Gracia. The independent Ford driver claimed pole ahead of the two Toyota drivers Matías Rossi and Mariano Werner.

Bueno claimed pole with a lap time of 1:31.530, a time that was 0.063 seconds faster than Rossi and 0.116 seconds faster than Werner.

Augustine Canapino in the Chevrolet Cruze was first man outside top three in fourth position, 0.368 seconds behind, with José María López fifth in the Fia Línea.

Second Chevrolet driver Christian Ledesma claimed sixth ahead of Néstor Girolami in the Peugeot 308. Emiliano Spataro headed three Renault drivers in eight, with Leonel Pernía in ninth and Mariano Altuna in tenth.

The season opener also marks the first race with the new engines for all cars in the championship. The engine is a naturally aspirated V8 manufactured by Radical, producing 430 bhp.
