Engine changes for Tarquini and Wéber

Gabriele Tarquini and Gábor Wéber have changed engines ahead of this afternoon’s race. The Hungarian will start from the back of the grid, whilst the Italian’s pole is safe.

Tarquini’s change of engine is the second engine change for SEAT this weekend, with both of Darryl O’Young’s engines having problems in qualifying and the warm up, which has ruled the STR team out of this weekend.

SEAT and Ford are permitted to change their engines as many times as needed up until the fifth round of the Championship at the Hungaroring as they’re brand new developments for the 2012 WTCC.

Chevrolet and BMW drivers however are subject to penalty on changes, as a result Gábor Wéber, who had qualified 12th on his WTCC debut for Zengo Motorsport, will now start 22nd and last on the grid after the withdrawal of both the STR cars.
