Mariano Werner wins on the streets of Buenos Aires
Toyota Corolla driver Mariano Werner won the street TC2000 race at Buenos Aires, crossing the line just 0.571 seconds ahead of Carlos Bueno in the Ford Focus.
“It was an incredible race,” said a very happy Werner after the race.
Ardusso Facundo took command early on in the race, but dropped to tenth in the end after transmission problems.
Jorge Trebbiani made it two Ford Focuses in the top three, 2.348 seconds behind the leader and just 0.302 seconds ahead of Peugeot 408 driver Nestor Girolami in fourth.
Mariano Altuna claimed fifth ahead of Matias Munoz and Daniel Belli. Guillermo Ortelli and Facundo Ardusso rounded off the top ten. Pole position man Christian Ledesma failed to finish the race.
