Huff leads Chilton in first Marrakech test session

Rob Huff headed fellow brit Tom Chilton in the first test session for the FIA World Touring Car Championship weekend at Marrakech. The Chevrolet driver lapped the track in 1:46.285, 0.829 seconds faster than Ford-man Chilton.

Alain Menu headed the list initially but was demoted to third towards the end of the session, 0.917 seconds slower than Huff’s fastest time, though was on a quicker lap at the end of the session.

Lukoil Racing’s Gabriele Tarquini was best SEAT driver in fourth, just over a second from the top time, with top privateer Alex MacDowall in fifth for Bamboo Engineering.

Special Tuning Racing’s Darryl O’Young claimed sixth fastest ahead of championship leader Yvan Muller and Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s Franz Engstler. ROAL Motorsport driver Tom Coronel and SUNRED’s Pepe Oriola rounded out the top ten.
