Menu fastest with Chevrolet 1-2-3 in second free practice
Alain Menu topped the second practice session at Marrakech. The Swiss was the first and only driver to break the 1:45-wall with 1:44.927 as his best and final time.
Chevrolet claimed the first three positions with Yvan Muller in second, 0.199 seconds behind, and Rob Huff in third, 0.271 seconds behind.
The three Chevrolets were followed by two SEATs with Gabriele Tarquini in fourth and Pepe Oriola in fifth.
Tom Chilton claimed sixth fastest time in his Ford Focus, 0.605 seconds from Menu’s best time. Stefano D’Aste was best BMW driver in seventh ahead of Franz Engstler. British drivers James Nash and Alex MacDowall rounded off the top ten.
The session was red flagged as Mehdi Bennani stopped on track with technical problems and was towed back in to the pits.
