Yvan Muller leads Rob Huff in Curitiba warm-up
Yvan Muller topped the fourth consecutive session ahead of Chevrolet team-mate Rob Huff, with Alain Menu third as the works Chevrolets again locked out the top three spots as they have in every session this weekend.
Yvan Muller and Rob Huff were exchanging fastest times early in the session, with Yvan Muller coming out on top with a time of 1:23.073.
Alain Menu joined his Chevrolet team-mates in the top three when he eventually took the track, and set the fastest first sector before aborting his lap and coming into the pits late in the session.
Stefano D’Aste was again struggling with the Wiechers-Sport BMW, spinning at Turn 8, performing two full 360 degree spins.
There were also moments for the two ROAL BMWs, with Alberto Cerrqui spinning into the gravel with just five minutes to go but was able to rejoin, and with Tom Coronel bouncing off the circuit to rejoin just ahead of Darryl O’Young’s SEAT, who had to come off of the throttle to avoid contact.
Alex MacDowall was the fastest independent driver in fourth position in the Bamboo Engineering Chevrolet, with Gabriele Tarquini fifth quickest in the Lukoil Racing SEAT just ahead of Michel Nykjaer’s Chevrolet.
The first race starts at 15:05 local time (20:05 CET), with Yvan Muller on pole position ahead of Menu and Huff.
