Yvan Muller leads Chevrolet 1-2-3 in Sonoma warm up

Yvan Muller was fastest in the warm up at Sonoma Raceway ahead of Chevrolet team-mates Rob Huff and pole-sitter Alain Menu, with Gabriele Tarquini close behind in fourth for SEAT.

The Frenchman’s first lap of 1:46.782 put him at the top of the time sheets, and a later improvement to 1:46.617 meant he held P1 for the whole of session.

Rob Huff was just 0.457 seconds behind in the #2 Chevrolet Cruze, with Alain Menu’s Chevrolet and Gabriele Tarquini’s SEAT all within half a second of Muller’s time.

Norbert Michelisz was the fastest of the independent drivers in fifth in the Zengõ Motorsport BMW 320 TC with James Nash sixth fastest in the Arena Ford Focus S2000 TC.

The first race gets underway at 12:20 PST.
