Honda to test revised Civic WTCC this week

Honda Racing Team JAS have scheduled a test session this week at Valencia. Tiago Monteiro, who raced the all new Civic WTCC at the final three races of 2012, will share the car with new team-mate Gabriele Tarquini at the test.

On Wednesday, testing will commence and will last three or four days. For the test, Honda and engine partner Mugen have a developed a new version of the engine, which is said to be more competitive in terms of torque and response.

JAS Motorsport Team Principal Alessandro Mariani said he is satisfied with the close relationship with Honda and the huge amount of involvement in a project which is the current motorsport priority for the Japanese manufacturer.
