Bamboo Engineering confirms 2013 GP3 entry
Independent WTCC team Bamboo Engineering has confirmed entry in the 2013 GP3 championship, rebranding GP3 team Atech GP.
“We’re thrilled to be competing in one of the world’s finest single seater formulas. Bamboo Engineering will be looking to make its mark and carve a strong reputation,” said Richard Coleman, Chief Executive of Bamboo Engineering.
Leading the GP3 programme for the team is Jonny Ostrowski who has previously worked with Formula 1 teams.
“I’m enjoying my new role at Bamboo and working with the boys in the GP3 team. I’m really looking forward to testing next week in Estoril and all the challenges that lie ahead in such a good series as GP3,” said Ostrowski.
No drivers for the GP3 programme has been announced yet, while the team has confirmed two Chevrolet Cruze cars for the WTCC this year for Alex MacDowall and James Nash.
