Honda sent to the back for non-conforming rear wing

All three Hondas have been sent to the back of the grid for race one in Austria after their rear wing was found to be in breach of the FIA’s technical regulations.

All three drivers, Gabriele Tarquini, Tiago Monteiro and Norbert Michelisz had already been handed 12 place penalties after qualifying when the FIA found all three drivers and nine others guilty of driving too slowly or erratically.

After investigation of the Honda Civic Super 2000 TC, the FIA discovered that the rear wing of the car was not in compliance with Appendix J of the Super 2000 regulations and all three cars will be sent to the back of the grid for the first race.
