Joe Girling misses Snetterton, but working on BTCC return

Finesse Motorsport’s Joe Girling is missing from this weekend’s Snetterton meeting – but is hoping to return to the BTCC before the end of the season.

Girling has been running in the Jack Sears Trophy in a Chevrolet Cruze, taking one class win at Donington Park, but the car suffered significant damage in a qualifying crash at Croft.

TouringCarTimes understands Girling and his team are working to return to the series as soon as possible, potentially in NGTC machinery.

Girling drove one of Tony Gilham Racing’s Vauxhall Insignias at the Dunlop tyre test at Snetterton last month.
