Citroën test for José María López at Valencia
Citroën has released a video from testing at Valencia in Spain when José María López got to drive the new C-Elysée WTCC racer.
López could become the third driver for next year’s FIA World Touring Car Championship alongside already signed Sébastien Loeb and Yvan Muller, but the announcement will not come this year.
“The final decision should be made later this year, however if this happened the driver would not be announced before beginning of next year. We will test various drivers from different backgrounds, countries etc. Lopez is one of them to start in Valencia, but we could have another one on some other tests. This is still very open,” said Citroën Racing team principal Yves Matton to TouringCarTimes earlier this month.
López is racing in Super TC2000 this season, currently placed fourth in the championship for Fiat team Equipo Petronas.
