Eurico de Jesus joins Macau entry, bringing the field back to 34

36-year-old Macanese driver Eurico de Jesus had been added to the entry list for this year’s FIA World Touring Car Championship season finale, bringing the entry back up to 34 cars, following André Couto’s withdrawal from the event.

De Jesus competed in last year’s Macau finale, driving the ex-JAS Motorsport Honda Accord Euro R then run by Five Auto Racing Team, qualifying in 25th and scoring a best position of 18th in race two.

PAS Macau Racing Team will field de Jesus’s car for him this time, competing with the Honda Accord which runs with a normally aspirated two-litre engine, as opposed to the 1.6 litre turbos used by JAS and Zengõ Motorsport. De Jesus will be eligible to compete in the Eurosport Asia Trophy classification, which is currently led by Japanese driver Yukinori Taniguchi.
