Tiago Monteiro: ”We are on the right track”

Honda completed four days of testing last week in Spain and driver Tiago Monteiro is confident they are on the right track in terms of development progress ahead of the season start.
“We worked hard, evolved and we did some race simulations and I think we are on the right track. We must continue to adapt and understand the car, but I’m already more comfortable,” said Monteiro.

The team is planning to complete further tests ahead of the season start, with the next one taking place at Paul Ricard in France on February 24th.
“There is still a lot of work to do before the first race of the season. Our program includes several tests and I think we will have reached a good level by the time the championship gets underway. The entire team has done an outstanding job,” said Monteiro.

There will be four Honda Civics in the FIA World Touring Car Championship this year with two factory supported JAS Motorsport cars for Monteiro and Gabriele Tarquini, as well as two independent entries with Norbert Michelisz at Zengő Motorsport and Mehdi Bennani at Proteam Racing.
