Zengõ reveal new livery for Norbert Michelisz’s Honda
Zengõ Motorsport have revealed the new livery which will be run on Norbert Michelisz’s new Honda Civic WTCC this season, as the team runs the new car in the TC1 class for the 29-year-old Hungarian.
The car features principal sponsorship from MOL Group, the Hungarian oil and gas firm which has supported the team over the past three seasons, with the car shifting to a slightly more red hue as a result.
The team tested their new car briefly at the Tazio Nuvolari in Northern Italy along with fellow independent Honda squad Proteam Racing, which fields a car for Mehdi Benanni this season.
“The first impression I had was that the car is much faster than I expected,” said Michelisz. “Especially under braking. This means that in the fast corners you have to change your driving style not to lose speed. You can also feel that the TC1 machine is much more sophisticated and you have a lot of tools for setting it up.
“Of course, time was not enough to test out everything, but with the help of JAS Motorsport and Honda we can learn fast. We had no technical problems over the 200 kilometres we covered during the test, which is very good news in view of Marrakech.”
