Matías Rossi claims Rosario pole for Toyota

Matias Rossi claimed his first pole position of 2014 for Toyota Team Argentina at Rosario. The Reigning Super TC 2000 champion lapped the circuit with a time of 59.185 and was over three-tenths of a second faster than the Peugeot of Néstor Girolami in second position.

While Rossi was on his own, the times were very close behind him and there was no less than five different manufacturers in the top five, separated by just one tenth of a second.

Mariano Werner was third fastest for Equipo Petronas Fiat, just two thousands of a second slower than Girolami.

Franco Vivian claimed position four in his Chevrolet Cruze, with Leonel Pernía in fifth position in his Renault Fluence.

Agustin Canapino was sixth fastest for Peugeot Lo Jack Team, right ahead of the second fastest Toyota driver in the form of Bernardo Llaver in seventh position.

Facundo Ardusso and Esteban Guerrieri rounded off the top nine positions, with the latter being close to eight tenths of a second from the pole position time of Rossi.
