Yvan Muller on top again in second practice in Russia

Yvan Muller dominated the second free practice session at the Moscow Raceway, while his Citroën team-mates were some way off the pace, with points leader José María López seventh, Sébastien Loeb tenth and Ma Qing Hua 12th.

The closest threat to Muller was Gabriele Tarquini in the works Honda Civic, who was able to get to just within half a second of the Frenchman in the final moments of the session.

Before Muller took over at the top, the Chevrolets were looking strong, with Hugo Valente briefly leading a Chevrolet 1-2-3 comprised of the two ROAL cars of Tom Chilton and Tom Coronel.

The session ended with no real incidents, although as in the first session, the Campos SEAT of Nikita Misiulia had limited running, setting just one timed lap and was 21st and four seconds slower than the TC2 class leading car of Franz Engstler.

The top Lada was that of James Thompson, who led team-mates Rob Huff and Mikhail Kozlovskiy in 14th, 15th and 16th, with Dusan Borkovic the slowest of the TC1 class cars, struggling in his Campos Chevrolet in 17th.

Qualifying takes place at 14:30 MSK (12:30 CET).
