Norbert Nagy joins Campos Racing at Spa

Norbert Nagy is going to drive for Campos Racing in the FIA World Touring Car Championship races at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend.
“Gearbox problems forced me to miss the ETCC event at the Salzburgring, but I was there and when we heard that Campos Racing needed to solve some technical issues, my team offered them help. As a sign of gratitude, Campos Racing offered me to take part in the next WTCC event,” said Nagy.

The 19-year-old Hungarian is going to drive a SEAT León for the team in the TC2T class at Spa and Nagy hopes for this to be a start of more.

”This is a great opportunity for me! I am looking forward to the races and I hope I can get a lot of experience for the future, as my goal is to join WTCC for a full season,” said Nagy.

Nagy raced in the FIA European Touring Car Cup last year, finishing seventh overall in the Single-Make Trophy and has previously driven in various national touring car championships. This year he is competing in the European Touring Car Cup as well for MGS Racing in a normally aspirated Chevrolet Cruze, but missed the race at Salzburg and will also miss this weekend’s race as well in place of his WTCC debut.
