Chevrolet gain weight ahead of Shanghai

The compensation weights for the Shanghai event have been announced, with the biggest change being Chevrolet gaining 20 kilos, meaning the RML-built cars will now have a total of 40 kilos of ballast.

The Citroën C-Elysée remains the reference for the compensation weights, meaning the French cars will still be on maximum ballast, which is an extra 60 kilos added to the base weight of 1100 kilos.

The Honda Civic WTCC will lose ten kilos compared to the last event in Beijing, bringing the ballast down to +20 kilos.

Despite scoring their maiden win in China, Lada will retain their original weight of 1100 kilos, with no further ballast added on the Russian cars.

The compensation weights for Shanghai have been calculated over the last three weekends, with the results from Belgium, Argentina and Beijing being taken into account.
