Nick Foster announces retirement from racing

2014 West Surrey Racing driver Nick Foster has announced his retirement from the British Touring Car Championship and racing overall.

“It has been great to be involved in what is the UK’s premier racing series, especially with Dick Bennetts’ WSR squad, who are without doubt one of the most professional and dedicated teams on the grid,” said Foster.

The 49-year-old finished 16th overall in the 2014 BTCC with fourth position as best individual result.

“It has been great to drive alongside some of the best talents on the grid, including the 2014 champion Colin Turkington. A special thanks to Rob Collard, with whom I have enjoyed some great racing and fun times. Finally, after four years going round in circles I appear to have found the exit!” said Foster.

WSR has so far confirmed Sam Tordoff for the 2015 BTCC season, with the second driver expected to be announced at the Autosport Show this week.
