Mikhail Kozlovskiy receives engine change penalty in Hungary
Lada Sport Rosneft’s Mikhail Kozlovskiy will start from the back of the grid for the first race tomorrow at the Hungaroring following a penalty for changing his engine after Marrakech two weeks ago.
The Russian driver was involved in a collision with team-mate Rob Huff at the start of the second race at the Circuit Moulay El Hassan street race. This caused significant front-end damage to his Vesta WTCC car, which has required the team to change his engine for this weekend, with engines required to last the full season in the WTCC.
Kozlovskiy was 14th fastest in the wet first practice session at the Hungaroring, running within a few tenths of a second from his Lada team-mates James Thompson and Rob Huff.
