Facundo Chapur breaks lap record to Termas de Río Hondo pole

Facundo Chapur broke the qualifying lap record with 1:43.119 at Termas de Río Hondo to claim pole position, heading a Fiat 1-2 with team mate Facundo Ardusso four tenths behind in second.

Third fastest was Team Peugeot Total Argentina driver Agustin Canapino, lapping the circuit just over six tenths of a second slower than pole sitter Chapur.

Christian Ledesman claimed position four, with Mariano Werner in fifth position. Matias Rossi made it five different makes in the top six for Toyota, with team mate Rafael Morgenstern in seventh.

The race is scheduled to take place at 12:40 ART.
