Canapino and Risatti get pole position for the 200 km in La Pampa
Agustin Canapino and Ricardo Risatti scored the fastest time in the qualifying session for the 200 km of the Super TC 2000 championship, taking place at La Pampa this weekend. The pair, sharing the Peugeot 408 for this special event, completed three laps which were enough to get ahead of their competitors.
Canapino and Risatti set a best lap of 1:15.139 around the 4.148-kilometre circuit of La Pampa, host of the special 200-kilometre event, the only one in the calendar that sees two drivers sharing a car.
Facundo Chapur and Daniel Serra were second in their Fiat Linea, just 0.045 seconds behind the pole position. They were followed by championship leader Nestor Girolami and Mauro Giallombardo, at the wheel of the second Peugeot 408 on the grid. The driver from FE Peugeot Junior Team Damian Fineschi, paired with Galid Osman, was fourth, 0.239 seconds off the pace.
The Fiat Lineas of Carlos Javier Merlo and José Manuel Urcera followed, each paired with Manuel Luque and Carlos Bueno respectively.
Matias Muñoz Marchesi y Matías Ruso shared the best Chevrolet Druze to be seventh, with Emilio Spataro and Josito di Palma in eighth. 0.583 seconds off the pace at the wheel of their Renault Fluence.
Esteban Guerrieri and Franco Girolami shared a Toyota Corolla to be ninth. Facundo Ardusso, together with Mariano Altuna at the wheel of a Fiat Linea, didn’t set a time, despite being fastest in the second part of the classification, and will start from the tenth position.
The 200km of the Super TC 2000 starts tomorrow at 12:15 local time.
