Mistake costs Rob Huff better test result
Lada Sport Rosneft’s Rob Huff finished the test session in Buriram, Thailand, in 14th place, the Brit failing to improve his lap time late in the session on new tyres.
“I made a mistake,” explained the Brit to TouringCarTimes. “I had a big oversteer moment, so I aborted the lap and by the time I was back to the finish line the flag was out, so I had no chance to improve my time.”
Despite this issue, the Brit is positive as for the remainder of the weekend: “It should be good. I am still not 100% happy with the car, we had an engine gremlin, but overall I am positive for the rest of the weekend. I think it’s still quite early to have expectations, so let’s wait and see what happens.”
Huff currently sits ninth in the championship, his best result this season being a second place in Race 2 at Lada’s home race in Moscow.
