Yvan Muller “does not like” the balance of his car

Yvan Muller failed to reach the third segment of qualifying by as little as 0.011s at Marrakesh, Morocco. The Frenchman struggled all weekend and, although Q3 was within his sight, he still is downbeat.

“I don’t know if I could have been faster than the Hondas,” said the Citroën driver to TouringCarTimes. “Honestly I don’t think so.”

When asked what he missed to be in the top five for the pole position shootout, the Frenchman was lapidary: “I just missed a car that behaved the way I want it to.”

Pressed on to explain why he doesn’t feel comfortable with the car, Muller said: “It’s just the balance of the car, I don’t like it, and we can’t find a solution at the moment.”

Muller lost a place in the championship and dropped behind Norbert Michelisz by three points to sixth.
